Tata Motors unveiled the Nexon Concept at the 2014 Auto Expo, while a near production version of the sub-compact SUV was showcased at last year’s 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. Finally, after over a year, Tata Motors is all set to launch the Tata Nexon in India on 21th September 2017. Ahead of its launch, the company has started accepting bookings for the compact SUV at INR 11,000. Jeep Compass based new Fiat SUV

Image
Fiat  has restarted work on the replacement model for the Freemont MPV sold internationally. The replacement for the Freemont will be based on the  Jeep Compass according to sources. Plans for the SUV’s global debut nearly a year ago were put on hold as the brand was working on projects like the Argo hatchback and yet-to-be-revealed X6S sedan, to name a few.  Fiat has re-opened the books on their Freemont re-awakening project. Now, Rumour has it that the FCA is working on a concept based on the Jeep’s recently launched compass. The plans, which were originally put on hold nearly a year ago, so as to allow for projects like the soon-to-be-launched Argo hatch and the X6s sedan. Back on the drawing board, the new Fiat SUV will get styling cues from the international Torro pick-up truck, that already shares its platforms and various bits with the Jeep Compass. In all likeliness, the Fiat SUV is likely to share its 138 hp 1.8 petrol and 170 hp Multi-jet diesel powertra...

Should I buy one?

Should I buy one? The hot hatch market has never been so competitive , but newcomer  Hyundai has two things to help it hit the ground running : top-level motorsport experience and the right personnel. So has that worked out? On the evidence of this first drive, you’d have to say it has.  Hyundai has pulled off some feat  in delivering a car that feels so intuitive and enjoyable – not to mention heroically fast when the moment arises – and yet will happily play shopping cart when necessary. Moreover, at £27,995, even the higher-spec Performance Pack N-car  undercuts the likes of the Honda Civic Type R  and, remarkably given the kit on offer,  the entry-level Golf GTI . That it’s arguably the better all-rounder than either of them should guarantee it your time and, at the very least, your consideration.
